I’m a Law Breaker

Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

Haiku

Police come knocking.

Steel bracelets on my wrists.

Put me behind bars.

I must admit I have broken the law, nothing bad, I have had a couple of speeding tickets only a few mph over the limit, and ran a few red lightshow, I did challenge that, the cheeky bastards.

When I was younger I got caught by the police in a abandoned old theatre at the top of our street called the ‘Regal’.

They put me in a police van and took me home, then knocked on the front door and my mam and dad answered and let them in, they looked shocked.

I will always remember this older policeman saying: “next time we catch him in there, he’s going to jail”…I started crying.
