Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

Great teacher was he.

Mister Sturridge was his name.

Respectful and kind.

When I was in school I had a teacher called Mr Sturridge, but you know, I don’t know what he taught.

I know he was the deputy headmaster and he was my weight lifting teacher.

He was great, when we had a competition coming up and we needed to train, he would come and get me out of class.

One of my favourite memories is that I did good in a competition but came second and he rewarded me with a Twix chocolate bar.
