Ten Pound Note

Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

Now, for this little story to be told you must understand, that back Openshaw in the nineties was a rough place to live.

My random act of kindness to a stranger was this; I was walking to the pub with my brother dave, and there were two women in front of us, they looked a bit scruffy, maybe druggies, well a ten pound note dropped out of one of the women’s pocket; she didn’t notice and carried on walking; I saw this and picked it up: ” excuse me love, you’ve just dropped this”, I handed it back to her. The look on her face was of total shock and surprise, she smiled at me showing off her one tooth and began on her way again, most probably to get pissed!!!

Picked up a tenner.

No matter how many teeth.

I gave it straight back.
