Pain Inside

By Mark Quinn

A glow a smile across your face,
the torment the torture, not a trace.
Your face lights up with friends around,
your evil demons go to ground.

Joy and laughter you cannot see,
pain and sorrow you wish you were free.
You want to laugh but what the heck,
anguish and torment around your neck.

Sometimes you have a little frown,
then someone says;
“turn it upside down”.

You feel you are not seen
and all you want to do is yelp.
Please talk to someone and get some help.
