The Pennybank Murders
Part 5
The superintendent quickly rushes back to Pennybank Theatre to try and tie up a few clues. On entering the resting place of murder victim and theatre director Sally Comelightly he looks carefully at the clues that are scattered around the despicable yellow and green living area. Then when he finally has all he needs and in typical detective style, instead of just arresting the murderer, he gets his pen out of his jacket pocket and with the fancy note paper and envelopes that Sally Comelightly will no longer need he decides to send invitations to several guests. He invites them to a show at the theatre where one of them will be the star.
“Ok, where will I start. Hmmm, Ginger Charlie Hopkins, Miss Imogen Armitage, Sister Tabatha, Vicar Thompson and Sally Comelightly’s lover, Charlotte Spinningwheel, oh and Superintendent Cyril…no that’s me!”
After licking each envelope he calls on a scruffy orphan kitten, Sankey “Chimney Sweep” Sweetcakes, to deliver the anonymous notes in quick fashion whilst he sets up the theatre for the show of a lifetime where he will capture the Pennybank murderer.
